Gimp Edits For Wed-Thursday

First Task - Pan's Labyrinth Edit
Again this this is a tutorial  from YouTube the original can be viewed here. I did not feel I needed to do another video for this tutorial. The pictures you need for this edit can be found in the shared folder (Gimp-Hands & Eyes)







Second Task- Advanced Pop Art Edit
This edit is a more advanced version of the first pop art edit we worked through. You can use one of the photos you took or I have created a shared folder titled "Pop Art Pics" that you contains pictures that I thought may make good pop art. Click here to view the tutorial.

Third Task- Texture 
Face
You will need your head shot and a texture photo for this task. There are some textures in the shared folder for you to use. Click here for the tutorial

Gimp Tutorials

Photo Edits
For Monday Tuesday and Wednesday you 
will be working in GIMP. There are a series on tutorials that will teach you some cool edits. You 
will post all of your work on your blog as you finish each edit. All video tutorials can be found in you classes shared folder.
1st Tutorial-Layers
This tutorial consists of two videos first click here to watch a video from YouTube discussing the use of layers. Once you have watched the first video go to the shared file and watch the video titled "layer banner".

2nd Tutorial- Pop-Art
The video can be found in the shared folder you will need to open your head shot in gimp before starting this tutorial. Once you have finished this tutorial please post your finished product on to your blog. Please title the post "Pop Art" and provide a brief description of the tools used. Orginal tutorial here




3rd Tutorial- Animated GIF
The video can be found in the shared folder. Remember to provide a description of your work. Orignal tutorial here









Last Task- Animated GIF 200
Use what you learned in the previous tutorial to create an GIF that cycles thru the action photos you took. Hint you may need to change the cycle speed.

You should be able to get through these by the end of class on wed.

Photo Settings


1. Exposure Settings- This alows you to brighten pictures with out using the flash. The top photo was taken using a high exposure setting and the bottom was a low.

4. Drive Mode

5. Color Settings

For each of the settings Please post the photos you took and a brief discription of the mode used.
